Senior Data Replication Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned expert to oversee data replication solutions using Qlik Replicate. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in administering the Qlik Replicate platform, designing efficient data replication tasks, and ensuring high availability of replication environments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and monitoring replication servers, tasks, and endpoint connections, as well as implementing security measures including access control, role-based permissions, and SSL configurations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Replication Administration:
    • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Qlik Replicate across various environments.
    • Manage replication servers, tasks, and endpoint connections for optimal performance.
    • Implement security protocols, including access control, role-based permissions, and SSL configurations.
    • Set up alerting and automated health checks for critical replication tasks.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve system, task, or endpoint issues with minimal downtime.
  • Task Configuration & Development:
    • Design, create, and optimize data replication tasks using Qlik Replicate UI or JSON configurations.
    • Enable and manage Change Data Capture (CDC) for supported source systems.
    • Apply data transformation rules, filters, and mappings as required.
    • Maintain documentation for replication task logic and configurations.
    • Collaborate with data engineers, DBAs, and business analysts to fulfill data integration needs.
    • Familiarity with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and cloud systems like AWS Redshift & Data Bricks is preferred.
    • Strong understanding of CDC, ETL/ELT, and data warehousing concepts is essential.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in data replication administration and task configuration.
  • Familiarity with Qlik Replicate and related tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
