Job Role: Production Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced production specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production resources, including manpower, machinery, materials, and finances.

Key responsibilities will include monitoring production progress, making necessary adjustments, conducting regular inspections and tests to ensure products meet quality standards, and enforcing safety policies and procedures to minimize accidents and injuries in the workplace.

Maintenance of inventory levels of raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished goods is also essential to prevent production interruptions due to material shortages.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 3-15 years of experience in freight car business and wagon manufacturing
  • Proficiency in computer software programs like Microsoft Office and ERP systems
  • Knowledge of production processes and procedures including welding, assembly, and testing
Competencies:
  • Wagon engineering and manufacturing process knowledge
  • Experience executing large-scale production projects
  • Understanding of quality control and safety regulations in rail industry/heavy fabrication industries
  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools and technologies
