The Production Manager & Process Improvement Specialist role involves driving high-quality production output and yield while adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This requires prior experience in solar cell manufacturing or the chemical industry, which is highly preferred. The ideal candidate will be able to initiate and implement projects aimed at improving yield, reducing costs, and optimizing production processes.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Production Output Responsibility: Ensure high-quality production output and yield while adhering to SOPs.
  • Solar/Chemical Industry/Mechanical Experience: Prior experience in solar cell manufacturing or the chemical industry is highly preferred.
  • Process & Continuous Improvement: Initiate and implement projects aimed at improving yield, reducing costs, and optimizing production processes.
  • Engineering & Trials Management: Handle engineering changes, production trials, model changes, and pilot builds efficiently.
  • Technical & Analytical Skills: Possess strong mathematical, technical, and basic computer skills.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop and enforce quality control measures to ensure products meet desired standards and meet internal/external audit requirements.
  • Multitasking & Flexibility: Be adaptable and capable of handling multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge & Documentation: Understand cell manufacturing procedures and contribute to developing SOPs, operating instructions, and documentation standards.
  • Manpower management & Communication: Exhibit excellent communication skills and effectively guide or lead team members.
  • Safety & Compliance: Maintain safe work practices, comply with chemical/gas safety procedures, clean room protocols, ISO standards, and environmental regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Electronics, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
  • At least 3 years of experience in solar cell manufacturing or the chemical industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and tools
  • Certification in a related field such as Six Sigma or ISO 9001
