Design Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Design Manager to lead our product development cycle.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in industrial product design and be comfortable working with a team of hardware, software, and PCB layout engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Product Development: Develop and implement product designs that meet customer requirements.
  2. Existing Product Modifications: Modify existing products to improve performance or functionality.
  3. Quality Compliance: Ensure products meet quality standards by conducting testing at national/international laboratories.
  4. New Technology Incorporation: Integrate new technologies into existing products to stay competitive.
  5. Sales Team Interaction: Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer application requirements.
  6. Troubleshooting: Conduct site visits to troubleshoot product issues if required.
  7. Technical Documentation: Create technical documentation for products, including analysis and testing reports.
  8. Team Leadership: Lead a team of engineers to achieve project goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Postgraduate/Graduate degree in electronics.
  2. Minimum 18 years of experience in industrial product design.
  3. Experience in design/development in at least 3 of the following areas: analogue and power electronics, power supplies, convertors, microcontroller architecture and product design, embedded programming, communication/interfacing protocols and related hardware/software design, PCB designing, coral draw, and autocad.
  4. Awareness/knowledge of PCB designing, coral draw, and autocad.
  5. Comfortable leading a team of hardware, software, and PCB layout engineers.
