Job Description

As a professional in social and gender safeguards, this role requires expertise in preparing, implementing, and monitoring safeguard strategies. The position demands specialization in social development disciplines with a focus on gender program development, gender mainstreaming, and capacity building in infrastructure projects, preferably in the water supply and sanitation sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement social safeguard strategies and plans for infrastructure projects.
  • Specialize in social development disciplines with a focus on gender program development and mainstreaming.
  • Build capacity in infrastructure project teams on gender and social development issues.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement effective gender-based initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Masters Degree or Equivalent in Social Development Disciplines.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in preparing, implementing, and monitoring social safeguard strategies and plans for infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in gender program development and progressive responsibility for gender mainstreaming.
