Job Title: Oracle Cloud Engineer with Expertise in Hybrid Database Administration

As a seasoned professional, you will have the opportunity to design and implement Oracle databases on premises and in AWS RDS, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and scalability. Your expertise in hybrid cloud database solutions will enable you to collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and implement business-driven database requirements.

With experience in database administration, security, and compliance, you will monitor and maintain the health, performance, and security of a hybrid cloud database environment. Your skills in automation and scripting using Python, Bash, Ansible, PowerShell, and Terraform will streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.

Additionally, you will work closely with data engineers, DevOps, and other stakeholders to define database requirements and solutions. You will also be responsible for implementing cost optimization strategies and ensuring efficient utilization of database resources.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • ">
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.">
  • Proven working experience as a SQL Server/Oracle Database Administrator, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience with Oracle and Oracle RAC.">
  • Solid understanding of Oracle performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting techniques.">
  • Experience with database security principles and best practices, including encryption, access controls, and compliance.">
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues in hybrid cloud environments.">
  • Experience with agile methodologies.">
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.">
  • Knowledge of AWS services, particularly AWS RDS and related cloud technologies.">
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform for automating cloud infrastructure provisioning and management.">
  • Knowledge of Python, Bash, Ansible, and PowerShell scripting for automation, orchestration, and integration tasks.">
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).">
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Database - Specialty are a plus.">
