Senior Business Project Manager

Job Description:

The Senior Business Project Manager plays a pivotal leadership role within the SAP S/4HANA implementation team. This position is responsible for overseeing the direction, coordination, and execution of business process transformation activities associated with the SAP S/4HANA implementation across the Asia-Pacific region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project teams through complex implementations and serve as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis, establishing and maintaining relationships with third parties/vendors.

Resource and Budget Management:

  • Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
  • Manage project budgeting and forecasting with a focus on delivering projects within approved expenditures.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and manage project risks, planning for potential scenarios and devising contingency plans.
  • Ensure project risks are mitigated and escalate issues as necessary.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.

Reporting:

  • Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.

Required Knowledge & Experience:

  • Master's/Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in project management, including significant experience with ERP systems, and at least 5 years focused on SAP S/4HANA Implementation.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable.
