About the role

  • The system testing team is expanding to focus on defining and refining a suite of tests for enterprise readiness with high quality.
  • Collaborate with developers, solution architects, and product managers to define and develop optimal test coverage for use cases.

Customer Use Case Driven System Testing

">
  • Customer use case driven system testing for a unified fast file and object platform used for modern data.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure test environments validate customer use cases as closely as possible.

Test Planning and Automation

">
  • Review product requirements, design documents, and customer use cases to build test plans and test cases.
  • Develop automation to execute system testing for new and existing features over multiple releases.

Collaboration and Communication

">
  • Collaborate with dev/PM, support, and escalation teams to help reproduce and root cause customer issues.
  • Identify, analyze, and document defects discovered during testing.

Requirements

">
  • Hands-on experience in software testing and test automation preferably within an enterprise storage product environment.
  • Good knowledge of file systems, file system protocols, and data replication.

Preferred Skills

">
  • Strong automation skills and familiarity with automation tooling like pytest.
  • Good understanding of how end customers use/deploy storage systems.

Additional Requirements

">
  • Experience in related system software projects e.g., operating systems, Linux kernel, hypervisors, containers.
  • Ability to deploy and use 3rd party IO tools to simulate IO test workloads.

Working Style

  • Stellar communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

Education and Experience
