
Staff Operations Manager

Job Overview:
The Staff Operations Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the proper development and performance of staff members. Key responsibilities include coordinating with reporting managers on staff performance reviews, delegating tasks to claims examiners, monitoring pipelines and queues, and addressing internal grievances.
Additional duties include escalating software issues, identifying training requirements within the team, communicating effectively with colleagues, and carrying out other functions as directed by management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform job supervisory duties to assure proper training, instructions, and development of staff
- Closely coordinate with the Reporting Manager on staff performance reviews and leave scheduling;
- Delegate and oversee activities performed by claims examiners
- Daily monitoring of pipelines and queues
- Identify training requirements within the team and perform training sessions
- Maintain the assigned TAT of the respective teams and ensure the optimal utilization of resources
- Address any internal grievances and escalate to reporting manager if required
- Responsible for reporting of identified Fraud, Waste and Abuse trends and escalating to concerned parties
- Escalate any identified software issues to the reporting manager and IT POC as required
Requirements:
- University degree in any discipline from a reputable university
- Strong industry knowledge (healthcare / insurance)
- Team-player with an aptitude for customer service
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Computer literate
- Excellent command of the English language
- Ability to work under pressure
- 5+ years experience in the healthcare industry/hospitals
- Business acumen, persuasive skills and ability to lead a team
- Strong decision-making ability; Good understanding of internal processes and software systems
