Job OverviewData Scientists play a vital role in helping businesses and people navigate from their current state to a future state. At Launch Consulting Group (India), we utilize technology, tenacity, and creativity to drive solutions that propel our clients forward.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of relevant experience in analytics work, including deriving insights from raw data using statistics, data mining, visualizations, and machine learning techniques. They should be proficient in developing prediction models using correlation, regression, classification, and machine learning algorithms, with an understanding of experimentation and good study design to reduce overfitting.
Key Responsibilities- Cultivate skills required for Data Science, including exploratory data analysis, data modeling, predictive modeling, AI/ML, SQL, and specializing areas like deep learning, time series, NLP, and machine vision.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover insights about the data, including the use of dashboards and reports that assess data for its applicability for predictive modeling.
- Create data flows for cleaning, augmenting, transforming, and integrating data, including feature engineering and study design considerations.
- Design studies and run experiments for training and testing models that predict future or unknown data based on historical factors.
- Apply state-of-the-art AI algorithms to solve business problems using software to do tasks normally associated with human intelligence.
- 5+ years' relevant experience in analytics work.
- Experience performing analytics work by deriving insights from raw data with statistics, data mining, visualizations, and machine learning techniques using Python, R, and/or other common data science tools.
- Experience developing prediction models using correlation, regression, classification, and machine learning algorithms.
- Ability to write complex SQL queries and an advanced understanding of data concepts.
- Experience building data pipelines that process structured and unstructured data.
- Working with project tracking tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO) or JIRA.
- Working with diagramming tools such as Visio or LucidChart.
- Experience with cloud database technologies such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Snowflake, AWS Redshift, or GCP BigQuery.
The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and location.
