IT Support Specialist

The primary objective of this role is to provide top-notch technical support and guidance to users experiencing various IT-related issues. This position requires a professional with excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-centric mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide initial troubleshooting assistance to users via phone, email, or in-person interactions.
  • Log and categorize all incoming IT support tickets using a designated ticketing system.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of hardware, software, and network connectivity problems to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Offer password reset and account unlock services, as well as basic application support.
  • Escalate complex issues to higher-level engineers, providing detailed notes and logs for seamless handovers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT procedures and solutions.
  • Develop educational materials on common IT issues and best practices for end-users.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing service desk operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • At least 2 years of experience in an IT support role.
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, network fundamentals, and common business applications.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to efficiently troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Customer-focused approach with a strong emphasis on delivering positive user experiences.
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
