Cloud Infrastructure Specialist Job Summary

\

This role is responsible for the automation, management, and optimization of cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines using Amazon Web Services (AWS). The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable application delivery in agile environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for streamlined software delivery.\
  • Manage and configure AWS infrastructure, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, etc.\
  • Automate provisioning, deployment, and operational processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.\
  • Ensure security best practices for cloud resources and platform management.\
  • Set up and optimize monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using AWS CloudWatch and other Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools.\
  • Troubleshoot system performance and application issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.\
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams for smooth workflow integration.\
  • Work with containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and ECS, and support microservices deployment.\
  • Oversee DevOps toolset management, including Jenkins, GitHub, Ansible, Maven, etc., and maintain high automation coverage.\
  • Drive continuous improvement in deployment strategies, cost optimization, and process efficiency.\

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a DevOps role with significant AWS exposure.\
  • Strong expertise in AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, RDS, CloudFormation, etc.\
  • Proven experience with CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and AWS CodePipeline.\
  • Scripting ability in languages like Python, Bash, or similar.\
  • Familiarity with containerization, including Docker, Kubernetes, and ECS.\
  • Experience in monitoring and log management using CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.\
  • Background in app/network/cloud security best practices and troubleshooting.\
  • Nice to have: AWS DevOps or Solutions Architect certification, experience with cost optimization in cloud environments, background in infrastructure automation for complex enterprise platforms, and strong communication skills.\
