Financial Controller Position

Job Description:
Role SummaryThis role involves supporting global accounting policies, financial compliance, and operational processes.
The position requires working closely with US-based finance teams to manage financial closes, audits, and continuous process improvements in alignment with US & India GAAP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures ensuring compliance with US & India GAAP.
- Work collaboratively with various business partners to refine and implement accounting policies.
- Optimize month-end close processes for efficiency.
- Support statutory and tax audits.
- Approve general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Supervise monthly and annual close processes, internal controls, and reporting.
- Manage consolidation, inter-company transactions, reconciliations, and foreign currency accounting.
- Review financial statements, cash flow statements, and budgets for reporting accuracy.
- Lead ad-hoc cross-functional projects including end-to-end process design and system implementation.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency.
- Collaborate with Sales, Legal, and other departments on financial and accounting matters.
- Support business and departmental goals and initiatives.
Requirements:
- 7-10 years of experience in accounting, finance, or public accounting.
- Strong understanding of US & India GAAP.
- Experience supporting international businesses and working with US-based finance teams.
- Superior Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multi-task and manage complex accounting tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in month-end financial closes, annual audits, and variance analysis.
- Self-starter with a 'can-do' attitude and ability to work independently.
