Job Title: Staff Data Engineer - AdTech Optimization

Estimated salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Staff Data Engineer to join our team in Pune, India. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our AI platform for exchange optimization. This role requires strong technical skills, as well as excellent collaboration and communication abilities.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop end-to-end Machine Learning Systems with real-time feedback, across our programmatic stack covering Go, Java, and Python.
  • Collaborate with platform/runtime backend teams to provide experimental interfaces for testing and development of online approaches.
  • Focusing on scalable operations with automation: Supervised - Human Assisted Frameworks; Unsupervised - Self Learning Policy Driven Frameworks.
  • Owning and maintaining ETL processes to leverage/extract/process/evaluate complex, high volume, high-dimensional datasets independently or in collaboration with our data platform teams.
  • Providing custom datasets curated for specific research purposes from production event flow.
  • Developing a Machine Learning Platform supporting our optimization needs.
  • Bring data science prototypes to production.
  • Supporting, maintaining, and enriching existing ML frameworks and libraries.
  • Contribute to reducing business problems into optimization problems by assessing technical feasibility and operational constraints.

Your Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience working as a senior ML Engineer or senior research engineer in industry (preferably in advertising) is a must. Experience as a staff engineer is desirable.
  • Proven hands-on experience delivering interdisciplinary data science products in production covering design and implementation across backend, data, and ML stacks.
  • A postgraduate degree in a relevant quantitative field (e.g. Computer Science, Applied Mathematics & Statistics, Machine Learning, Physics, or other quantitative and computational disciplines).
  • Proficiency with Go or Java is required.
  • Proficiency with Python desirable.
  • Proficient with ML Ops Tools and common ML libraries.
  • Experience with developing or supporting high-performance distributed systems (preferably online systems).
  • Enthusiasm for solving interesting problems.
  • Willingness to learn and work in a team-oriented and constantly changing environment.
