Database Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Architect to lead the design, development, and maintenance of complex relational databases. The ideal candidate will possess a strong command of SQL, experience with ETL processes, and a deep understanding of data modelling and database performance tuning.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining databases that meet business requirements and ensure optimal performance. They will also be expected to write efficient and optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Database Design: Design and develop complex relational databases using various RDBMS (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL).
  • SQL Query Writing: Write efficient and optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
  • ETL Pipeline Development: Develop and maintain ETL pipelines for data integration and transformation using tools like SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Informatica PowerCenter.
  • Data Modelling: Design and implement data models (normalized and denormalized) for transactional and analytical purposes.
  • Database Security and Maintenance: Monitor, maintain, and improve database security, integrity, and availability.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience in database development and management.
  • SQL Proficiency: Strong proficiency in SQL and major RDBMS (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL).
  • ETL Tools: Experience with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, Informatica PowerCenter, Snowflake.
  • Cloud-Based Databases: Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL).
  • Version Control Systems: Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
