Job Title: Senior AWS Redshift Engineer

Job Description:
  • Lead architecture review and validation for multiple AWS Redshift clusters to ensure seamless scalability.
  • Validate sizing assumptions and provide recommendations to optimize performance and minimize costs.
  • Develop and implement operational excellence best practices, including runbooks, monitoring, and alerting systems.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and health metrics for Redshift platforms to measure success.
  • Analyze and optimize query performance by identifying workload patterns, schema design issues, and tuning opportunities.
  • Define a clear process for deploying new tables, columns, and views to maintain data integrity and consistency.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or database administration with expertise in AWS Redshift.
  • Proven experience in cluster architecture review, sizing, and right-sizing recommendations.
  • Strong background in query performance tuning, schema optimization, and workload management.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Redshift fundamentals, including table design, WLM tuning, vacuum operations, and concurrency scaling.
  • Ability to develop and implement operational best practices, including runbooks, monitoring, and alerting systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in schema governance, version control, and structured change management.
  • Excellent communication and consultative skills to articulate solutions to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience working in client-facing roles within professional services, consulting, or enterprise environments.
