We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Professional to manage our client accounting projects and migration projects from other accounting software to Zoho Books.

Job Description

About the Role:

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless transition of our clients' financial data to Zoho Books, maintaining the integrity of their financial records, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: Perform monthly closing of financial accounts, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions.
  • Reconciliation: Conduct monthly reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Vendor Management: Handle vendor bill preparation and payment processing to ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Expense Management: Post monthly and one-time expenses.
  • Invoicing: Prepare and submit invoices for approvals.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare monthly/quarterly HST data for filing and ensure compliance with HST regulations.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and records.
  • Auditing: Conduct regular audits and resolve discrepancies.
  • Query Resolution: Prepare query sheets after month-end closure.
  • Customer Support: Address client queries and provide solutions to any issues.

Migration Projects:

  • Project Planning: Plan and execute data migration projects from various accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) to Zoho Books.
  • Customized Strategies: Develop customized migration strategies tailored to each client's business operations.
  • Downtime Minimization: Ensure zero downtime and seamless business operations during live migration processes.
  • Data Security: Guarantee secure and thorough transfer of financial data, including legacy data up to 20 years.
  • Data Reconciliation: Perform detailed reconciliation checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of migrated data.
  • Error Resolution: Identify and resolve any data inconsistencies or errors.
  • Client Support: Address client queries and provide solutions to any issues that arise during the transition.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Staying Current: Stay updated with the latest developments in Zoho Books and other accounting software.
  • Process Enhancement: Recommend and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of migration projects.
  • Best Practices: Contribute to the development of best practices for data migration, accounting, and client support.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certification: IPCC Cleared with articleship experience preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Finance and Accounting field.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in using online accounting software including but not limited to QuickBooks, Sage, FreshBooks, Xero, Zoho Books.
  • Zoho Knowledge: A strong understanding of Zoho Books is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Microsoft Excel: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including IF formulas, lookups, and pivot tables.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Project Management: Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects within deadline.
  • Data Migration Experience: Experience in handling data migration projects is a plus.
