Solar PV Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to design and develop electrical layouts for solar PV systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting technical documentation, performing solar PV yield assessments, and supporting the proposal team with technical inputs.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop electrical layouts, single-line diagrams (SLD), cable sizing, earthing, and protection schemes.
- Perform solar PV yield assessments and simulations using PVsyst / PV Sketch / Helioscope.
- Support the proposal team with technical inputs for bids, tenders, and RFPs.
- Coordinate with procurement for BOM preparation and technical specifications.
- Generate construction drawings, wiring diagrams, and shop drawings.
- Ensure compliance with IEC/IS standards and project specifications.
- Provide design support to site execution teams and resolve technical queries.
- Maintain organized records of drawings, designs, and documentation.
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in Solar PV System design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D), PVsyst, and MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint).
- Able to read and prepare detailed electrical drawings and SLDs.
- Familiarity with relevant standards and codes (IEC/IS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good command of English (written and spoken).
- Detail-oriented, systematic, and well-organized.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Collaborative team player with proactive work ethics.
