Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our growing team at Nalwa Aero. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems, power management, and integration of electrical components for our eVTOL aircraft. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that electrical systems meet performance, safety, and reliability standards while pushing the boundaries of electric aviation technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, test, and integrate electrical systems for eVTOL aircraft, including power distribution, battery management systems, and avionics.
• Work closely with propulsion, avionics, and systems engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical components.
• Develop electrical architecture for power systems, propulsion control, and other aircraft subsystems.
• Analyze system performance and troubleshoot electrical issues during testing and integration phases.
• Perform system modeling, simulation, and analysis using tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, and others.
• Support the development of electrical power components (e.g., motors, batteries, controllers) and their integration into the overall vehicle system.
• Ensure compliance with aviation standards and safety regulations, such as FAA or EASA requirements.
• Participate in testing and validation processes for electrical systems, including in-flight testing and ground-based validation.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the electrical systems through data analysis and design optimization.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in electrical systems, power electronics, and electric propulsion for aerospace applications.

Essential Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Master's degree or higher is preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in electrical systems design, preferably in aerospace or eVTOL applications.
• Hands-on experience with power electronics, motor controllers, battery systems, and electrical distribution systems.
• Familiarity with electrical simulation and modeling tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, PSpice).
• Experience with avionics systems and integration into complex systems is a plus.

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, power systems, and electronic control systems.
• Proficiency with electrical CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, Altium Designer) for circuit design.
• Familiarity with software tools for system simulation and analysis.
• Experience in battery management systems (BMS), electric propulsion, and motor control systems.
• Familiarity with safety standards for electrical systems in aviation (e.g., DO-160, DO-178C).

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience in electric propulsion systems, including motor and controller design for eVTOL aircraft.
• Knowledge of power distribution and management for high-power systems in aviation.
• Familiarity with integration of electric motors, batteries, and controllers into aircraft systems.
• Experience working within regulatory frameworks (e.g., FAA, EASA) for certification of electrical systems in aviation.
• Experience with design for reliability, redundancy, and fault tolerance in safety-critical systems.
