We are seeking an expert in Packaging Design & Development to join our team. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Strategic Project Initiatives

This role involves business analysis, spend analysis, opportunity analysis, option generation, portfolio analysis, sourcing approach, strategy creation & implementation, cost saving initiatives for packaging materials, specification optimisation, size rationalisation, value engineering in existing and new business requirements, alternate vendor development, alternate material development & change in packaging process.

We encourage applicants to bring new ideas around packaging - material, design & process. This includes generating new ideas in packaging material of existing & new products, introducing new packaging materials, developing new material processing techniques, innovating in packing & filling lines, and introducing latest printing and decoration techniques.

In addition, successful candidates will be responsible for packaging material vendor development, design re-engineering, design and appearance uplift for emerging markets, project management, new export customer requirement launch support (biologics & other injectables), packaging procurement operations (NPD), trial materials arrangement, sourcing, vendor development, selection and performance evaluation, change control and material code creation through DDRL and CQA, cost negotiations and finalisation for NPD, shade card approval and shipment to site, ensuring timely packaging material supply for first commercial supply, and handing over sourcing & procurement activities to packaging procurement team for subsequent supply.
