Job Title: Data Insights Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Data Insights Specialist to join our team. As a Data Insights Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing our master data set, developing reports, and troubleshooting data issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Management: Manage master data, including creation, updates, and deletion, as well as manage users and user roles.
  • Quality Assurance: Provide quality assurance of imported data, working with quality assurance analysts if necessary.
  • Data Commissioning and Decommissioning: Commission and decommission data sets.
  • Confidential Data Processing: Process confidential data and information according to guidelines.
  • Reporting Development: Help develop reports and analyses.
  • Reporting Environment Management: Manage and design the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
  • Data Warehouse Support: Support the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements.
  • Data Integrity and Normalization: Support initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
  • Software Assessment and Implementation: Assess tests and implement new or upgraded software and assist with strategic decisions on new systems.
  • Report Generation: Generate reports from single or multiple systems.
  • Reporting Database Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot the reporting database environment and reports.
  • Source System Evaluation: Evaluate changes and updates to source production systems.
  • End-User Training: Train end-users on new reports and dashboards.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in computer science.
  • Work Experience: Work experience as a Data or Business Analyst or in a related field.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Ability to work with stakeholders to assess potential risks.
  • Software Solution Recommendation: Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations.
  • Business Requirements Translation: Ability to translate business requirements into nontechnical, lay terms.
  • Database Methodologies and Processes: High-level experience in methodologies and processes for managing large-scale databases.
  • Data Handling: Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases.
  • Addressing and Metadata Standards: Understanding of addressing and metadata standards.
  • Communication Skills: High-level written and verbal communication skills.
