About the RoleWe are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our civil site management team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction activities related to switchyard and control room projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate civil construction works at the site, including foundation works, structures, and associated civil activities for switchyard and control room.
- Evaluate project schedules, technical specifications, and safety regulations to ensure compliance.
- Supervise daily site activities, including labor, subcontractors, and equipment.
- Analyze construction drawings, specifications, and method statements to identify potential issues.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work; resolve any issues promptly.
- Develop and implement effective safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings.
- Maintain open communication with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth operations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation.
- Verify materials and workmanship meet project standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and coordinate logistics and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in civil construction, specifically in switchyard, substation, or power plant projects.
- Proven experience managing civil works for high-voltage switchyard and control room construction.
- Strong knowledge of civil construction procedures, safety standards, and quality control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with construction management software and tools.
