Job Summary:

The Payroll Administrator is a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain employee payroll database, ensuring integrity of pay rate, direct deposit, social security number or global equivalent, tax withholding, and other payroll related information.
  • Compare data from HRIS system and Payroll systems daily and update payroll system as needed. Research any discrepancies with IT to correct.
  • Validate and approve reconciliations between time entry system and SAP.
  • Validate overtime, vacation, sick, jury duty and hours calculations worked on a weekly basis.
  • Analyze reconciliations of time tracking system and integration output and assist the team in resolving any discrepancies.
  • Validate operational jobs as outlined on the payroll transmittal and ensure accuracy of each job through calculation stage of the payroll process.
  • Work with disability carriers to coordinate calculation and payment of supplemental sick payments.
  • Assist in researching and resolving any imbalances with variance report before payroll is accepted.
  • Drive process improvement in all processes and procedures within payroll.
  • First escalation point in all employee queries via email or ticketing system and monitor responses to ensure it is within SLA.

Requirements:

  • Hands on experience in US end to end payroll process
  • Good knowledge of SAP and Workday application.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field, and/or the combined equivalent of experience and education.
  • Demonstrable skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other relevant software applications.
  • Strong technical and hands-on experience with payroll software.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
  • Excellent judgment, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
