Cloud Data Engineering Lead Position

We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Data Engineering professional to spearhead the development and implementation of scalable, secure, and compliant cloud-native platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in designing data pipelines, architecting multi-tenant systems on AWS, and ensuring data governance and security.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams in defining priorities and solving challenges, driving platform governance, and providing mentorship and technical guidance to engineering teams. Key responsibilities include developing a clear platform vision to enable business growth and operational efficiency, designing end-to-end data pipelines leveraging AWS services such as S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, EMR, Kinesis, DynamoDB, and SageMaker, and mentoring team members on secure coding practices, compliance, and architectural principles.

Key Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in platform engineering, data architect, data engineering, or solution architecture.
  • Strong expertise in building scalable, secure, and compliant cloud-native platforms.
  • Proven track record in designing and managing multi-tenant systems on AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud, Big data and Analytics ecosystem (Airflow, Spark, Python, Flink, AWS Batch, S3, Athena, ECS-Fargate, SQS).
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Advanced skills in Terraform (IaC).
  • Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD.
