Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to lead our team in delivering cutting-edge data solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional teams in designing, developing, and implementing large-scale data pipelines and architectures.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop tailored solutions.
  • Design and implement data warehouses, lakes, and other storage solutions using AWS services like S3, EC2, EMR, and Glue.
  • Develop and maintain complex ETL workflows using Apache Airflow, Python, and PySpark.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices, architecture, and implementation details.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 7-9 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on cloud-based technologies and big data processing.
  • Strong understanding of AWS services, including S3, EC2, EMR, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, and VPC.
  • Experience with data warehousing, lakes, and storage solutions, including AWS Aurora, Singlestore, RedShift, Snowflake, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, YARN, and Linux operating systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Scala, Python, Shell Scripts, and SQL.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Demonstrated continued learning through technical certifications or related methods.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working on cloud-related projects.
