Job Overview

About the Role:

As a skilled Instrumentation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving asset reliability and performance for our client. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and implementing effective equipment maintenance strategies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in instrumentation technology, including field instruments, control systems, and analyzer systems. They will also possess excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engineering Activities: Perform engineering tasks covering all key areas of instrumentation technology, including field instruments, control valves, analyzers, and control systems.
  • Maintenance Strategy Development: Review and update equipment maintenance strategy for instrumentation (e.g., Transmitters, control valves, flow meters, analyzers).
  • Collaboration and Alignment: Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure alignment of maintenance strategies with operational priorities.
  • Asset Criticality Analysis: Understand and apply asset criticality analysis and asset strategy management principles.
  • Predictive Maintenance: Develop and implement predictive maintenance tasks related to assets, including preventive, condition monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Instrumentation Maintenance: Standardize instrumentation maintenance procedures and test intervals across similar asset classes.
  • Compliance and Knowledge: Familiarity with hazardous area classification, international instrumentation standards, and relevant regulations.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Skilled Instrument Maintenance Technicians with knowledge of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and field instrumentation, including control valves, on-off valves, and various field instruments.
  • Education and Certifications: Relevant degree in instrumentation, electrical, or mechanical engineering, and/or relevant certifications (e.g., CMRP, CPIB).
  • Work Experience: 3-5 years of experience in instrumentation engineering, maintenance, or a related field.
