Position: Application System Support Specialist

Job Type: Full-time deployment

Function: Corporate Security and Investigations Department

Sub-Function: Technology Solutions

The Application System Support Specialist is responsible for setting up, monitoring, and maintaining the Access Control and CCTV systems' software and all backend hardware including application servers globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide configuration support for Access Control and CCTV systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware issues pertaining to Access Control CCTV systems and other corporate security applications
  • Offer remote assistance to internal clients on system setup
  • Identify and analyze system failures and provide support to on-site technicians for fault resolution
  • Track system issues through to resolution within agreed time limits
  • Escalate unresolved issues to relevant internal teams
  • Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals at a dedicated documentation repository

Server Support:

  • Install and configure security system applications on servers
  • Monitor application services hosted on servers 24/7
  • Properly escalate unresolved issues to relevant internal teams

Other Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly and professionally to emergency service requests during working hours and off-hours including nights
  • Collaborate with other team members to establish best practices and decisions
  • Work independently as required
  • Report to senior management to ensure satisfaction of work
  • Participate in departmental meetings

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Knowledge of Access Control and CCTV systems
  • Experience in installation and maintenance of Access Control and CCTV Systems
  • Experience in CCURE 9000 and CCURE GO software and related hardware (e.g. iStar controller) and their integration
  • Experience in enterprise CCTV systems like Intellicene, Symphia VMS, Genetec video solutions etc.
  • Experience in Windows Server Operating systems (e.g. Windows Server 2016, 2019)
  • Experience in SQL
  • Experience in PowerShell programming
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
  • Technical troubleshooting and reverse engineering skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Motivated self-starter and ability to multitask
