Job Summary

This role focuses on effectively managing and maintaining a store's inventory, ensuring that all materials are accurately stored, preserved, and documented. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and verifying engineering materials and spares, as well as issuing these materials to engineering and maintenance teams in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, inspect, and verify the quality of received goods against purchase orders or other relevant documents.
  • Ensure that all materials are properly stored and preserved in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
  • Document all incoming and outgoing shipments, including any discrepancies or issues encountered during the process.
  • Issue materials to engineering and maintenance teams as needed, using proper documentation and accounting practices.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory checks to ensure that all materials are accounted for and accurately recorded.
  • Coordinate material movements for shutdowns and projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution.
Requirements

Education:

  • A degree in a relevant field such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related discipline, coupled with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • An alternative qualification would be a diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering, accompanied by 2-3 years of experience in a store management position.

Preferred Experience:

  • Candidates with prior experience in industries such as oil & gas, refinery, and petrochemical will be given preference, as their knowledge and skills can be directly applied to this role.
Skills
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of stores accounting principles and practices.
