Senior Electronics Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electronics Engineer to lead high-voltage design and develop mixed-signal systems for a commercial Scanning Electron Microscope. This instrument will see the nanoscale with rigor, measure patterns, and ensure lossless, high-throughput data capture.

The mission is to deliver electronics that make the instrument instant and synchronized: a common timing spine, responsive beam control, low-noise power, and robust control I/O.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing the timing and synchronization backbone for optics, detectors, motion, and software to operate in lockstep.
  • Building mixed-signal boards for beam control drivers, detector front-ends, data-acquisition, and robust control I/O.
  • Ensuring clean, stable power and grounding/shielding for quiet images and strong EMC behavior.
  • Providing diagnostics, fixtures, and logs for issues to be obvious and field-debuggable.

Our ideal candidate has shipped mixed-signal/FPGA systems in instruments, vision, or semiconductor/robotics gear. They should have strong bench skills with scopes, analyzers, and bring-up; pragmatic about testability and manufacturability.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in designing and developing complex electronic systems.
  • Strong knowledge of mixed-signal circuit design, FPGA programming, and system integration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team.
