Job Opportunity

This is a challenging and rewarding role for a highly motivated professional looking to develop their skills in tax law. As an Associate/AM, you will be responsible for managing client engagements and providing expert advice on direct tax laws.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute client engagements with minimal supervision.
  • Handle complex client matters related to direct tax laws, including tax structuring, advisory services, ongoing compliance, and tax litigation support.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the Income Tax Act and interpret provisions to provide accurate and timely advice to clients.
  • Represent clients in assessments, appeals, and other income-tax matters before the Tax Officer.
  • Oversee the status of open litigation, analyze tax risks, and develop defense strategies to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Draft submissions for tax assessments, appeals, penalties, show cause notices, revisions, orders, refunds, recoveries, rectifications, and other income-tax proceedings.
  • Establish strong relationships with client management and senior team members to facilitate seamless engagement execution.

Requirements
  • Qualified Chartered Accountants with experience in direct tax - income tax & DTAAAs, international tax.
  • Working knowledge of FEMA & corporate law.
  • Ability to handle tax office matters efficiently.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of work experience post qualification.
