Job Role Overview:

As an Associate Fellow, you will lead data-driven research and policy analysis projects.

  • Lead data-driven research and policy analysis projects using advanced econometric and statistical methods.
  • Design and apply DiD, IV, PSM, panel data models for causal insights.
  • Work with large-scale datasets including administrative, labour, GST, satellite, survey data.
  • Translate evidence into policy recommendations and clear outputs such as reports, briefs, op-eds.
  • Work with researchers and manage stakeholder engagement with government and partners.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A Master's or PhD in Economics, Econometrics, Data Science, or related quantitative discipline.
  • Strong training in econometrics, statistics, and programming in languages like Stata, R, or Python.
  • 7+ years of experience in empirical research, data analysis, and publication.

Bonus Requirements:

The following skills are highly valued:

  • Experience in survey design and field data collection.
  • Familiarity with India's statistical system including MoSPI, state DES, national accounts, GVA methods.
  • Strong communication skills for policy briefs, government engagement, along with op-eds and journal papers.
