Track Alignment Expert

About the Role

As a Track Alignment Specialist, you will play a key role in preparing preliminary designs for rail track alignment. Our team is looking for an experienced professional to lead our track alignment efforts and ensure that our projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  1. Design horizontal and vertical track center line alignments.
  2. Prepare points and crossings based on operational concepts.
  3. Establish standard working procedures to ensure work execution as per Service Operation Document (SOD).
  4. Analyze as-built components with tolerances to precede construction, suggest solutions to avoid infringement during mass construction, and ensure quality standards.
  5. Plan and coordinate day-to-day activities involved in Rail Track Design & Infrastructure Development projects.
  6. Demonstrate extensive knowledge of design methodologies in elevated sections.
  7. Have very good knowledge of rail design software, including Swept Path Analysis, Regression Analysis, and Drain.
  8. Responsible for design calculations of cant, cant deficiency, cant excess, speed, rate of change of cant, rate of change of cant deficiency, and transition.
  9. Conduct quality checks/assurance for deliverables, review meetings, and issue resolutions.
  10. Perform site visits for interface and monitoring purposes to ensure construction activity and site condition.
  11. Collaborate with the entire interface team, including geotech, structure, signal, architecture, utility, traction, rolling stock, and multi-model integration.

Qualifications

  1. Graduate degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
  2. Minimum total experience of 10 years, out of which 5 years experience should be in relevant experience in track alignment of metro projects.
