Design Engineer Role

This is a pivotal position for those who can deliver innovative solutions to product development.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical components, including bills of material and documentation. This entails technical expertise in CAD design tools and proficiency in creating high-quality designs.
    • Develop assembly and part drawings, as well as 3D models for new product development. A key aspect of this role is collaborating with the manufacturing team to ensure seamless production processes.
    • Create and maintain bills of material (BOMs) and ISO documents. These records are critical for ensuring compliance with industry standards.
    • Modify existing designs based on manufacturing and sourcing team requirements. Effective communication with stakeholders is essential to deliver tailored solutions.
    • Contribute to the design and development of new products through reverse engineering activities. By analyzing existing products, you'll help us improve our offerings.
    • Compare product costs with other brands and conduct MOC analysis. Your financial acumen will be instrumental in informing our product strategy.
    • Establish and implement design standards and procedures. As a leader in design, your influence will shape the company's approach to innovation.
    • Presentation of technical reports and presentations. You'll be expected to communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Manage and work on all ISO 9001:2015 related design documents. Compliance with quality management systems is paramount.
    • Train production, assembly, and quality assurance personnel on approved manufacturing, test, and inspection procedures. Sharing your expertise will enhance overall operational efficiency.
    • Resolve process and product-related issues to support the manufacturing and sourcing team. Proactive problem-solving is vital to delivering high-quality products.
    • Address customer complaints in a timely manner. Providing excellent customer service is crucial to maintaining a positive reputation.
    • Prepare internal and external written correspondence. Clear and effective communication is essential in today's fast-paced business environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong background in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Proficiency in CAD design software (e.g., SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor)
  • Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) principles
