Backend Software Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Backend Software Engineer to join our team.

  • This role involves applying computer science principles to design, build, maintain scalable and sustainable technology products and solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, including experience with Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Postgres SQL, CD/CD, GitHub, Jenkins, Kafka, and Agile methodology.

Candidates with knowledge of microservices architecture patterns, synchronous/asynchronous processing and error handling patterns with Spring Boot, and experience building web services and integrations with message-driven architecture will be prioritized.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing, building, and testing new systems from the ground up with minimal support.
  • Collaborating with local teams and partner teams.
  • Conforming to quality standards.
  • Identifying performance issues and optimizing solutions.
  • Applying knowledge of security coding practices and/or secure system fundamentals.
  • Leading end-to-end engineering for projects and problems of complex scope and impact within practice.
  • Ensuring engineering teams meet production SLAs of applications/systems.
Requirements:
  • BS or MS in CS, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years professional experience in practice area including Java/Spring Boot, Design Patterns, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Postgres SQL, CD/CD, GitHub, Jenkins, Kafka, and Agile methodology.
