Process Safety Professional

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Safety Professional with 8+ years of experience in oil & gas projects (onshore/offshore). The role involves ensuring compliance with Process Safety Management principles and HSE standards across engineering, construction, and operational phases.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Safety:
    • Lead and facilitate Hazard Identification Studies, Hazard Operability Studies, SIL Assessments, and Risk Assessment Studies
    • Prepare/review: Safety Policies, Fire Risk Evaluations, Design Safety Standards, Hazardous Area Classifications
    • Develop Risk and Reliability Studies (with third parties if needed)
    • Review Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, layouts, and equipment specifications from a safety design perspective
    • Support design reviews, management of change (MoC), and alarm rationalization
  • HSE Management:
    • Support HSE plans, risk assessments, and method statements for projects
    • Conduct site HSE inspections, toolbox talks, and compliance checks during construction or commissioning
    • Ensure adherence to international HSE standards (OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001)
    • Lead or support incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
    • Drive safety culture across project teams and subcontractors

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical / Process / Environmental / Safety Engineering
  • 8+ years in process safety and HSE, preferably in EPC/design/project environments
  • Strong knowledge of PSM, risk assessment, and HSE regulations
  • Proficient in tools like PHAST, PHA-Pro, BowTieXP, DNV software
  • Certifications: NEBOSH IGC/PSM, TÜV Functional Safety, or equivalent preferred
