About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Embedded Security Architect to join our Security Software team at Mindpool Technologies. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in designing and building security features and tooling for microcontrollers and processors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate customer security requirements with the project team and clarify any open points with OEMs.
  • Develop security concepts, identify gaps between customer security requirements and security platforms, and perform threat and risk assessments to identify remaining residual risks in customer projects.
  • Collaborate with customers' security organizations and project development teams to ensure product security is maintained and documented.
  • Identify, plan, establish, coordinate, and monitor security activities throughout the product development life cycle.
  • Provide technical support to the development team and collaborate on incident response and customer complaints related to security issues.
  • Plan and execute security-related tests with the customer project team.
  • Consider the impacts on production and in-field use cases, such as return analysis.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for all product security-related queries in customer projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Telecommunication, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience in embedded software development with a good understanding of the product development life cycle (system, hardware, software) in IoT solutions.
  • Knowledge of software security, hardware-based security in IoT-based embedded systems, and security techniques, standards, and state-of-the-art capabilities for authentication and authorization, applied cryptography, and security vulnerabilities.
  • Hands-on experience in developing cryptographic primitives like AES, CMAC, RSA, ECC, TLS, IpSec, SecOC, etc.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages, including Embedded C.
  • Hands-on experience with debuggers, compilers, and scripting languages like Shell, Perl, Python, Make, etc.
  • Detailed knowledge of microcontroller/microprocessor architectures.
  • Strong analysis and debugging skills.
  • Experience with configuration management systems and defect tracking tools.
  • Hardware security modules (HSM, TPM, ARM trust zones).
  • Working knowledge of security libraries like OpenSSL, LibreSSL.
  • Hands-on experience with Trusted Execution Environments (ARM trust zones, HSM, TPM).
  • Driver/Firmware development for CSE (SHE peripherals), e-fuse drivers.
  • Knowledge/experience with Quality process & Safety-standards such as ASPICE/CMMI, ISO 26262 is a plus.
  • C++ and Java programming skills are an added advantage.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
