We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Data Architect to join our dynamic team at Nisum. This role is ideal for professionals with a solid background in cloud technologies, data engineering, and ETL.

About the Role:

This position plays a key role in designing and implementing data-intensive solutions, ensuring data governance, and building scalable data pipelines to support our business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Engineering: Design, implement, and optimize ETL pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and storage in various systems, including data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouses.
  • Solutions Architecture: Lead the design and implementation of data-intensive solutions, including batch and streaming data processing, migrations, and integrations.
  • Azure Data Services: Leverage Azure cloud technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure Functions, and PySpark to create scalable and efficient data solutions.
  • Data Governance: Work with data governance frameworks and policies to ensure data integrity, compliance, and security across multiple data platforms.
  • Database Management: Work with both relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases to design efficient data models and query optimization.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in ETL and Data Engineering, with a strong understanding of designing data pipelines, migrations, and data integration.
  • Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with Azure cloud data services, particularly Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Databricks, and other Azure-based solutions.
  • Data Governance: Experience working within data governance models to ensure compliance, security, and integrity of data.
  • Databases: Expertise in both relational SQL databases (e.g., MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cosmos DB).
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python, Scala, or other object-oriented scripting languages, with experience in PySpark.
  • Advanced SQL: Strong knowledge of SQL for query authoring, data manipulation, optimization, and troubleshooting.

The estimated salary for this position is $140,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
