GIS Data Migration Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS data migration professional to lead and execute complex GIS data migration projects. The ideal candidate will have advanced technical proficiency in GIS data migration, particularly within the utilities sector.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Designing, building, and optimizing FME workspaces and workflows for geospatial data migration, transformation, and automation.
  • Defining and implementing data migration strategies from legacy network models to modern ArcGIS Utility Network or other utility GIS platforms.
  • Analyzing utility datasets to ensure accurate schema mapping and topology validation.
  • Collaborating with project managers, business analysts, and client stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in GIS, with at least 3+ years of hands-on expertise in FME.
  • Strong experience in Utility Network modeling and migration (ArcGIS Utility Network or equivalent).
  • Proven background in GIS data migration and transformation projects within the utilities domain.
  • Proficiency in spatial databases.
  • In-depth understanding of coordinate systems, projections, and geospatial standards.
