Job Title: Silicon Design Engineer

You will possess very strong digital design for test knowledge and bring broad experience in working closely with cross-functional teams. This role requires a self-motivated individual with leadership qualities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with SoC Architecture, uArch teams to define the DFT architecture.
  • Drive the DFT RTL implementation, functional and scan capture timing closure, scan/ATPG implementation to meet product coverage goals.
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering team to ensure on-time delivery of first-time-right patterns and silicon bring-up.
  • Oversee required pre-silicon reviews for RTL, DFT DV and ATPG to ensure clean silicon bring-up.
  • Work with Arch, Design, Functional DV, Emulation, Platform Debug teams to comprehend and validate all usage models.
  • Support post-silicon team on debug and root-cause failures.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and bring latest technologies to AMD products.
  • Collaborate with DFT Tool Vendors to drive improvements based on requirements.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of in-depth DFT experience with multiple tapeouts and silicon bring-ups across different process nodes.
  • Good understanding and exposure to SoC design and architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of verification and timing concepts with handled DFT timing closure.
  • Exposure to DFT concepts such as JTAG, SCAN, MBIST, BScan, etc.
  • Comfortable with VCS/Verdi and Mentor TK.
