Cloud Network Automation Engineer Position

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Network Automation Engineer to join our team.

Job Description:

As a Senior Cloud Network Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving the transformation and automation of network operations.

You will design and implement cloud networking architectures, automate network provisioning, configuration, and monitoring, and enforce best practices and security standards across cloud environments.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design & Implement Cloud Networking Architectures: Develop cloud networking architectures (VNETS/VPCs, subnets, routing, peering, VPNs, Transit Gateways, etc.) in Azure, GCP, and/or OCI.
  • Lead Network Automation: Automate network provisioning, configuration, and monitoring using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Python.
  • Enforce Best Practices & Security Standards: Develop and enforce networking best practices and security standards across cloud environments.
  • Integrate Network Automation with CI/CD Pipelines: Integrate network automation with CI/CD pipelines to support Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Troubleshoot Complex Network Issues: Troubleshoot complex network issues across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Provide Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with security, DevOps, and application teams to ensure optimal network performance and compliance.
  • Stay Current with Emerging Technologies: Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to architecture and processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's preferred.
  • Strong experience in network engineering (7+ years), with 5+ years focused on cloud networking and automation.
  • Deep expertise in Azure, GCP networking services.
  • Strong scripting/programming skills in Python, Go, or similar languages.
  • Proven experience with Terraform, Ansible, in the context of infrastructure automation tools.
  • Familiarity with container networking (Kubernetes, service mesh) is a plus.
  • In-depth understanding of routing protocols, firewalls, DNS, and load balancing.
  • Experience with multi-cloud hub spoke architecture
  • Experience with SD-WAN and hybrid network architectures.
  • Manage network modules in GitHub.
  • GitHub Actions CI/CD pipeline experience
  • Must have solid network experience
  • Experience with Network automation in Azure and GCP building networks.
  • Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, GCP Solutions Architect, CCNP/CCIE, or similar are a strong plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with network observability tools.
  • Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps principles.
