Key z/OS Infrastructure Management Role

We are seeking a highly experienced professional to manage, maintain and optimize our IBM mainframe environment.

This role involves ensuring system availability, optimizing performance, managing security and providing technical support for business-critical applications running on z/OS.

  • Administer and support IBM z/OS mainframe systems including installation, configuration and maintenance.
  • Perform upgrades, patching and integration with related subsystems such as CICS, DB2, IMS, MQ and RACF.
  • Monitor system performance and implement tuning measures for optimal efficiency.
  • Manage system security and access controls.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and infrastructure issues.
  • Support disaster recovery planning testing and implementation.
  • Collaborate with application network and storage teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation procedures and operational standards.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Mainframe Administration: Administer and support IBM z/OS mainframe systems including installation configuration and maintenance.

  • Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance and implement tuning measures for optimal efficiency.

  • Disaster Recovery: Support disaster recovery planning testing and implementation.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with application network and storage teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Documentation and Training: Develop and maintain system documentation procedures and operational standards. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
