Job Opportunity

Purpose of the role:

This position is responsible for enabling secure design, supporting business change programmes and implementing secure systems across multiple security domains. These include data security, risk management, asset security, architecture and engineering, communications and networks, security operations, software development, assurance testing and identity management.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversight and governance of technology change to ensure it aligns with security policies.
  • Conducting security risk assessments and threat modelling to identify vulnerabilities in IT systems, applications and infrastructure.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to develop security strategies that enable business evolution.
  • Supporting product teams with security reviews and providing recommendations.
  • Transferring residual risks to the business as required.
  • Collaborating with incident response teams to support investigations and sharing security insights.
  • Participating in the development and maintenance of security policies, standards and procedures aligned to regulatory requirements and industry best practice.

Requirements:

  • To advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness.
  • Lead a team performing complex tasks using well-developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the whole business function.
  • Set objectives, coach employees and appraise performance relative to objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with other functions and business divisions.
  • Consult on complex issues; provide advice to support the resolution of escalated issues.
  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls.
  • Perform work that is closely related to other areas requiring understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to organisational objectives.
  • Communicate complex information effectively.
  • Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
