Piping Design Engineer - Project Lead

">About This Role:">
  • As a senior piping design engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and layout of complex engineering projects.
  • You will prepare and review piping general arrangement drawings, isometrics, material takeoffs, and support drawings to ensure high-quality output.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including process, structural, mechanical, instrumentation, and other disciplines to deliver comprehensive designs.
  • Use advanced 3D modeling tools to perform clash detection and resolve design issues effectively.
  • Maintain compliance with project specifications, industry codes, and standards to ensure seamless execution.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers, promoting knowledge sharing and growth within the team.
  • Develop strong relationships with global clients, capturing their requirements and delivering tailored design solutions that meet their needs.
  • Understand client expectations and work closely with them to deliver high-quality designs on time.
  • Stay up-to-date with marine classification society rules, standards, and regulations to ensure adherence.
  • Foster effective communication within the team and with clients, working individually and collaboratively as needed.
  • Manage design packages and ensure timely delivery, aligning with project schedules and quality benchmarks.
  • Identify potential risks and deviations, proposing solutions to maintain design integrity and quality.
  • Collaborate with procurement and vendors to address equipment/piping interface requirements.
  • Support fabrication, installation, and commissioning teams with design clarifications and site queries as required.
  • Prepare detailed design documentation, reports, and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
  • E nsure all designs comply with project specifications, client standards, international codes, and classification society rules.
  • Apply 3D modeling, clash detection, and design issue resolution using advanced tools to deliver high-quality designs.
