Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform real-time monitoring of servers, network devices, applications, jobs, and services using various monitoring tools.
  2. Identify, acknowledge, and log alerts, events, and anomalies.
  3. Escalate incidents to support teams based on defined SOPs and severity.
  4. Perform basic health checks and validations as per runbooks.
  5. Track and update incident tickets in IT service management tools.
  6. Perform initial triage of alerts (e.g., service restarts, disk clean-up commands).
  7. Document incidents, actions taken, and resolution/escalation steps.
  8. Communicate with on-call engineers and shift leads for follow-ups or escalations.
  9. Ensure monitoring dashboards and tools are operational and report any issues.
  10. Provide shift-wise handover updates and contribute to incident reviews.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Basic understanding of IT infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience in monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to work rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong attention to details and sense of urgency.
  • Preferred qualification: exposure to ITIL process certification in basic IT/networking.

Minimum experience: 3+ years in IT monitoring or helpdesk roles with mandate skills like monitoring tools & network operation center.
