Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and conduct research studies (e.g., card sort, tree testing, usability, heuristics evaluations) to build deep user understanding and empathy.
  • Help teams by synthesizing and communicating relevant information, defining and measuring success.
  • Create testable hypotheses and use research findings to support, challenge, and innovate products.
  • Apply expertise and knowledge of research methodologies, human factors, the user-centered design process, and statistics to product and service design in an iterative development environment.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to formulate and address research questions.
  • Independently plan, execute, and analyze research across product areas.
  • Perform qualitative data analysis and support ongoing coding efforts.
  • Support survey design and execution as well as perform statistical analyses.
  • Undertake secondary research scans and comparative/competitive analysis.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors and/or master's degree in UX, design, research, business, or related fields; for example, Information Design, Human Factors/HCI, Psychology, Cognitive Sciences.
  • 4 to 19 years' experience conducting user research within a UX team for software/web-based products.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of user-centered design principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry and experience working on enterprise software is beneficial.
  • Experience with quantitative survey programming and analysis, UX research for meeting/event planners, attendees software, or mobile app/web development is a plus.
