Job Overview:

The Financial Controller role involves leading the Finance function for a new hotel in Amravati.

This key member of the leadership team will champion, develop and implement property-wide strategies that meet or exceed customer and employee needs and expectations.

Financial expertise will be provided to enable successful implementation of our brand service strategy and initiatives while maximizing return on investment. A business plan aligned with the property and brand's strategy will be created and executed, focusing on execution of financial and accounting activities and delivery of desirable financial results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops methods to improve profit through cost estimation, benefit analysis, and exploration of new business opportunities.
  • Analyses information, forecasts sales against expenses, and creates annual budget plans.
  • Compiles information, analyses, and monitors actual sales against projected sales.
  • Analyses differences between actual and forecasted wages for efficient budget planning.
  • Identifies underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking it down into separate parts.
  • Thinks creatively and practically to develop, execute, and implement new business plans.
  • Creates annual operating budgets for the property.
  • Provides analytical support during budget reviews to identify cost-saving and productivity opportunities for managers.
  • Implements controls to manage business risks.
  • Ensures strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets, improve operations, and profitability.
  • Analyses financial data and market trends.
  • Leads development and implementation of comprehensive annual business plan aligned with company and brand's strategic direction.
  • Provides ongoing analytical support by monitoring actual and projected sales.

Qualifications:
  • CA/MBA/Masters degree with Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 10+ years experience in accounting preferably with hotel industry.
