Urban Planning and Project Coordination Opportunity

The Raahgiri Foundation is a non-profit organization that aims to create vibrant and accessible urban spaces. We are seeking a detail-oriented and dynamic individual to support our Cities and Urban Landscape initiatives as a Project Associate.

About the Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the development and execution of urban landscape and complete streets projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project requirements. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting site visits to gather data and inform project planning and design.
  • Assisting in the preparation of design concepts, presentations, and reports related to complete street projects.
  • Coordinating with stakeholders to ensure effective project implementation.
  • Organizing and facilitating community consultations and workshops to gather valuable feedback.
  • Collecting and analyzing data to evaluate project outcomes and inform future initiatives.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the candidate should possess:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in urban planning, landscape design, or project coordination.
  • Solid understanding of urban planning principles and sustainable development practices.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, GIS) is desirable.
