Key Surveillance Position

This critical role is responsible for safeguarding assets, employees, clients, and reputation by ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and internal policies.
The position involves reviewing and closing electronic and audio communication alerts, analyzing data, and identifying trends or anomalies.
Main Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze alerts generated from automated surveillance systems to detect potential violations of policies, rules, and regulations.
- Perform audio surveillance and document rationales with accurate commentary for audit trail.
- Drive enhancements and improvements to the communication surveillance program.
- Support compliance investigations, gathering and analyzing logs, trade data, and other information.
- Prepare metrics to report surveillance results to Senior Management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree: 8-10 years' experience in Financial Services or Banking Compliance.
- Good understanding of market abuse, conduct, and compliance topics.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word).
Skills & Attributes:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail; excellent organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and escalate issues appropriately.
- Native-level proficiency in English language, both verbally and in writing is required. Fluency in Japanese and/or French is a plus.
