Job Title: Compliance Analyst

The primary objective of this role is to ensure that onboarding processes align with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to customer identification and verification.

This position requires exercising sound judgment in accordance with the company's core values, particularly our value of doing the right thing, while maintaining a keen focus on compliance programs.

Solid support will be provided to the Compliance team as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough Know Your Customer (KYC) reviews for new clients, including periodic and trigger event reviews of existing clients.
  • Perform due diligence on clients, encompassing corporate records verification through public sources and various third-party vendors.
  • Verify KYC documentation and conduct risk assessments.
  • Identify potential indicators of higher-risk relationships and conduct Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD).
  • Review and validate business activities, ownership structures, Compliance-related documents, and financial statements.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory frameworks such as FATF, FinCEN, OFAC, FINTRAC, AUSTRAC, FCA, and other applicable jurisdictions.
  • Collaborate with legal and Compliance teams to address regulatory inquiries and audits.
  • Evaluate negative media screening and measure associated risks.
  • Manage exceptions, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery in accordance with SLAs defined with the Business.
Requirements:
  • A minimum 1+ years of experience in a Compliance role within the financial services sector.
  • A solid understanding of AML (Anti-Money Laundering), CTF regulations, requirements, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with commonly known high-risk industries, red flags, typologies, and applicable EDD is highly valued.
  • The ability to identify trends and inconsistencies, including interpreting alerts, assessing risk scores, and entity types.
  • Strong writing, research, and investigation skills; capability to document relevant information clearly, concisely, and comprehensively.
  • The ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possesses a natural ability to work collaboratively to meet tight deadlines, overcome challenges, and deliver quality results.
  • Self-driven, solutions-oriented individual with a strong commitment to team success.
