US Sports Content Manager

We're seeking a talented Editor to join our editorial team, responsible for overseeing the publication of high-quality sports news articles. As an Editor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our content.

The successful candidate will have excellent proofreading skills, with the ability to identify and correct grammatical errors, as well as verify the authenticity of facts and statistics. A keen eye for detail is essential, along with strong leadership qualities and the ability to motivate and guide a team of writers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit and publish 20-25 articles daily
  • Proofread articles for grammar, punctuation, and factual accuracy
  • Research and verify facts and statistics
  • Publish articles on time, including priority news-based articles
  • Mentor and guide a team of writers to refine their quality, output, and performance
  • Ensure smooth daily operations of writers in the sport division

You'll be a perfect fit if you:

  • Have a good grasp of the fundamentals of the English language and are accustomed to American culture
  • Are quick with fact-checking and enhancing the editorial quality of content
  • Take ownership of publishing articles on time and are flexible for event-coverage days
  • Have leadership qualities, are a good judge of character, and have a knack for people management

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6-12 months of experience in proofreading and/or content editing
  • Prior experience of leading a team of writers would be an additional plus
